How often does Steam have sales?
Steam runs four major seasonal sales a year — Spring (March), Summer (June–July), Autumn (November) and Winter (December) — plus smaller themed fests and Next Fest demo events roughly every quarter.
Do Steam sale prices drop further during the sale?
No. Since 2015 Steam discounts are fixed for the whole sale — there are no flash deals or daily deals any more. If something you want is discounted on day one, it is safe to buy immediately.
How long do Steam sales last?
Seasonal sales last one to two weeks: the Summer and Winter sales run about two weeks, the Spring and Autumn sales about one week. All of them start and end at 10:00 AM Pacific.
